Transmitting knowledge and building teams at the Get Work Academy

"We can only respond to our partners' needs with the right quality if everyone possesses up-to-date knowledge, the right attitude, and behaves as a team. This is what led to the creation of the Get Work Academy," says Ákos Jáhny, the Strategic Director of the Get Work Group. At the HR service provider, employees meet in person every month and spend a day together focused on development.

All internal staff, totaling more than 70 individuals, participate in the monthly programs of the Get Work Academy. On this day, employees from all offices, spanning from Nyíregyháza to Nagykanizsa, embark on a journey. For instance, recruiters, financial specialists, administrators, office managers, payroll accountants travel to spend a day together at the company's Budapest headquarters. The sessions have several objectives, including internal communication, brand building, knowledge transfer, discussion of emerging issues, and finding solutions.

Ákos Jáhny mentioned that everyone looks forward to these meetings. For employees working in small rural offices, it's a colorful opportunity to engage with a larger community, to receive firsthand information about the current news, plans of the corporate group, and the most pressing labor and employment law issues.

There is a high demand for knowledge sharing and in-person meetings

The day starts with a grand all-staff meeting where the company leadership gives presentations and answers questions. Then, workshops related to various professional areas follow, such as finance or recruitment. During these sessions, participants discuss current trends, like recruitment trends in different regions. It is also possible for legal experts to present legislative changes and how to respond effectively. The new labor code effective from January 1, 2023, has also been covered, with labor law specialists regularly providing concrete case examples.

An important aspect of the Get Work Academy is employee well-being. Employees receive training in stress management, resilience, and communication. They learn how to handle situations where they need to meet multiple expectations simultaneously, managing the demands of family alongside those of the employer, clients, and job seekers. They are equipped with tools for maintaining relationships and care for employees. Professional training that enhances office processes, such as Excel training, is also provided upon request.
